Screenshots

  • The main rule

    User can upload only own screenshots. User can not upload screenshots that were downloaded from other websites if the user is not their author. User can not upload the other user`s screenshots, if that was not given proper permission.

    Foreign screenshots are removed

    Only our bot can upload 3rd party screenshots.

  • Multiuploader restrictions

    The maximum number of screenshots that may be selected at a time in uploader - 50 files.

  • Other uploading restrictions

    There are not quantity restrictions for uploading, but try to select only the best images. Beautiful screenshots become popular and best get in TOP100

  • Minimal resolution

    The image can be any size, but the more the better.

  • Image processing in editors

    Not allowed:

    • Alter/delete/add elements on the image
    • Put any watermarks, signatures, authorship etc. on an image 1
    • Image scaling

    Allowed:

    • Use of some filters on screenshots, such as monochrome or sepia. If the image was edited, the author should write this in the description
    • Cut black lines on the top and bottom side of the image 2

  • Maximum file size

    The maximum size allowed for uploaded file is 5 MB

  • File types

    You may upload jpeg, gif and png files

  • Deleting

    Screenshots can be only removed by administrators and moderators

  • Moderation

    Screenshots may be superficially similar, but it can not be a reason for deletion. At the same time, the moderator has the right to delete duplicate screenshots, if a user mistakenly loaded them. Moderator agrees to remove the duplicate with the lowest statistics.

  • Sharing and embedding

    You can share screenshots thumbnails on other web sites, blogs and forums

    Allowed sizes: 100x70px and 180x130px

    Larger images are protected from hotlinking (they will not be displayed on other sites)

  • Adult content

    If you upload a screenshot, which contains hard scenes of violence, nudity and other such things, you can mark it as "stuff for adults." It is not necessary but is a good idea, as well as tagging.

    View: If while watching the screenshots on the site you stumbled upon this

    this means that you either not registered, or you are under 18, or you simply do not specify your age in your profile. When you click on an image you agree that you are taking full responsibility for watching over and the site administration is not responsible for any psychological and / or cultural trauma that you can get when you view the screenshots which are marked as "adult material"

  • Copyrights

    Screenshot is an object of copyright and distributed under a non-free license, unless otherwise stated 3. At the same time, the screenshot does not diminish the commercial value of the game, as the view screenshot does not replace the computer game does not diminish the interest in the acquisition and thereby harms the owners.

    1 - You can upload screenshots with watermarks that were put by game.

    2 - Screensider automaticaly cuts these black lines. You may turn this feature off before uploading.

    3 - If the game is released under a free license, it will be the screenshots of the free product of culture and may be used freely under its own license.

User profile

  • Username length

    You can create your own username with minimum length of 3 and a maximum length of 30 symbols. Login may contain dot "." or underscore "_" symbol. Your login will be displayed as a site username but you can always change it to another (unless it is occupied by another user). Address can not consist of mere numbers.

  • Profile address (URL)

    By default your screensider URL is your id (user/0). But you can write your own URL in profile editor (ie user/john_smith). Address must minimum length of 3 and a maximum length of 30 symbols and may contain dot "." or underscore "_" symbol. Address can not consist of mere numbers.

  • Username

    Username must not contain information insulting the honor and dignity of others, calls for violence, profanity or any other text does not conform to morality.

Forum

  • New topics and messages

    • Any authorized user can create threads on any available for this forum.
    • Post should be in accordance with the subject of section.
    • Topics and messages should not contain information that insults the honor and dignity of others, calls for violence, profanity or any other text does not conform to morality.
    • Gameplay stories must be hided under spoiler tag.
    • It is forbidden to engage in trolling, flaming cultivation, flooding etc.

  • Message length

    Message length is limited to 5000 characters.

Albums adding

  • Users can not create their own albums, but can always leave a request to one of the administrators or post in the relevant forum topic.

Policy violation

  • We adhere a liberal policy with regard to users, but do not test the patience of the administrators, moderators and ordinary users. The delinquents will be sanctioned.
